Last Minute Gifts for your Cycling friends

We're past the one-month mark before Christmas and you still don't have a present for your cycling friend? I mean, you could opt for a book or a board game... But we all know that what they truly crave is something for their bike. Don't worry! I've arrived just in time with not one but five excellent gift ideas for cycling enthusiasts.

Safety First: Get a bell!

Nothing like a good bell to signal that you're coming through to everyone. Save your voice for the winter and find a bell with a gentle yet powerful sound to get people out of your way! My favorites are probably the ones from Spurcycle. They're a bit more expensive than other ones, but they're also beautiful pieces of craftsmanship, lightweight, and come with a limited lifetime warranty – how not to love it?!

Going on long rides? You need a feedbag.

Want to ensure your partner stays well-fed and hydrated during their long rides? Get them the ultimate solution for snacking on the go with a feed bag! Ideal for carrying an extra water bottle, candies, energy bars, a small camera, or any other essentials, the feed bag is the "catch-all" of cycling. Your local bike-bag brand probably have some, but if you need a recommendation, I really like mine from Outershell.

Never forget an Adventure.

You’re probably already taking pictures of your rides with your phone, but when you look back at them… can you feel the vibes?! What about a small, lightweight, and super easy to use film camera to fit i your brand-new bike bag?

A good example is the Ektar H35 that will let you have up to 72 pictures on a roll of 36 exposures.

A Good Tool is an Investment.

A good tool will probably never fail you. If you find yourself working on your bike frequently to swap out components or just doing basic tasks like changing a tire, you'll want a good set of tools! And since we're all about cycling here, let's talk about cycling tools! You can take a look at the ones by Runwell in Japan. Some fine craftsmanship there.

Get a Cog…Keep it Forever

Couldn't finish this list without a bit of fixed gear bling! A cog is too often an overlooked part of your drivetrain. But why settle for a fancy chainring and pair it with a basic cog? Invest in a high-quality cog which will improve your pedaling experience and never let you down. My favorites are from Euro-Asia; they range from the most basic yet excellent ones to the "Golden Medal" version!

Any idea of what will be under the tree this year?
