Bike Check: Mathias Skream Magnum
If you’ve recently seen one of the movies I help produce for Skream Bikes during my trip between Tokyo and Hong Kong, you’ve probably seen a back on black Skream Magnum, ridden by no other than Mathie a.k.a. @deythos
So today, I wanted to take a closer look at what Mathie has been riding on this trip.
As a longtime Skream rider and now partnered with Lightweight, this bike is unmistakably Mathie’s. Why? First things first, being a Berliner, it’s all black or nothing! The Magnum 24 Stealth is already a sleek machine, and with an all-black component setup, it looks even more aggressive. Of course, this dark theme goes hand in hand with a pair of Lightweight wheels, taking carbon to the next level; hubs, rims, and spokes all seamlessly integrated! Truly the highlight here!
A lightweight stem and a Thomson flat bar tie the cockpit together, while the drivetrain features a classic SRAM Omnium, paired with Goodspeed Components's new chainring, the Titan! It’s the only part of the bike that isn’t black, and it’s so shiny!
Finally, big flat BMX pedals for doing some gravity defying miracles on a track bike, but still on a quite intriguing 52x20 gear ratio.

I mean, that’s the thing with really dialed builds like this, there’s not much to say. It looks good, it rides well, and Mathie is probably the only person I know who pulled off some of the gnarliest tricks on that pair of wheels. All while carrying an extra set of tubular tires. “Gotta keep the skids going!”
How long do you think you can keep these wheels in one piece?
