MADE 2026: Mosaic, No. 22, Scarab, Moots, and Ron’s Bikes
Alright. You’ve seen the gravel bikes, the track bikes, and the funky bikes. Now! The road bikes! I can already feel a few of you rolling your eyes, muttering that you’ve got no love left for roadie stuff... But hold on! Set that aside for a minute.
MADE articles aren’t about convincing anyone to join the aero-socks club, they’re a display of the craft that goes into these machines. And when it comes to handmade road bikes from boutique brands, that craft gets almost obsessive: weight shaved in the right places, materials chosen like ingredients in a recipe, and those nitty‑gritty details our strava-addict friends love to stare at over their morning espresso. So here we go:

The RT-Zero is Mosaic’s flagship road platform, built around the idea that a high-end titanium bike should not just be made to your measurements but genuinely personal right from the first conversation. Every one is tailored to its rider, beginning with custom geometry and small adjustments to the tube selection depending on the intended ride characteristics.
But there is more! Mosaic’s Artist Series finish is developed around the owner’s taste, with a real dialogue between Mosaic and their client about colours, references, and the overall direction of the bike. In some cases, the team will even create a paint sample before committing to the final design. The result is a fully considered project shaped around the person who will ride it.
This RT-Zero was built in collaboration with Cadex, wearing the artist series No.9 “Chrysalis” in a striking Red–Magenta–Purple gradient. And it’s finished with a curated selection of Cadex’s top-tier kit: Ultra 50 wheels and an Aero combo cockpit.

The Great Divide Disc is No. 22's most versatile performance-road platform: a bike intended to feel quick and precise when you are pushing on but still comfortable enough for a full day in the saddle. Mike from No. 22 describes it as a “nine-tenths race bike", which feels about right: fast on descents and through corners, without turning every commute into a race-day commitment.
This particular build was made for MADE, so it makes sense when the weather decides to do what Portland weather does. Coming with full fenders, it still remains properly performance-oriented, but it is clearly not afraid of a wet ride back home.
What always impresses me with No. 22 is the amount of details: The custom hardware, fender fittings, stem, seat collar, computer mount, bottle cages, and cranks are all finished as one complete package rather than a collection of individual parts. It feels like every bolt has been selected or commissioned to match, creating the kind of bike you can own for months and still notice another tiny detail while washing it.
This build is finished with SRAM Red AXS, colour-matched 5DEV cranks, ENVE AR bars cerakoted to match the frame, and No. 22's own titanium seatpost. A bike that somehow looks pretty fast but allso kind of chill at the same time.

This is my favourite road bike at MADE this year! Santiago from Scarab introduced the new Serana, a climbing-oriented road bike built around one simple goal: making the bike disappear beneath you when the road points upward. It is a completely new platform for the brand, and this very special “first release” batch will be limited to just 25 numbered complete bikes.
Scarab decided to treat the first edition of the Serana as a complete package, with the paint, groupset, wheels, and finishing kit all belonging to this first series. Of course, everything has been selected with weight in mind: Campagnolo Super Record, Lightweight Meilenstein ART wheels, a Darimo seatpost, Darimo cockpit, and an SLR saddle. Even the seat clamp is this extreme-looking Darimo piece that by itself sums up how brilliantly Scarab mixed carbon and Columbus Spirit steel tubing. A very focused bike, minimal, light, with a lovely teal-silver-purple fade finish, and this beautiful brass plate displaying the number of your very special bike.

Will from Moots brought this Vamoots CRD as a complete one-off made, also specifically for the show, created in collaboration with Mavic around the launch of its new Comete 55 wheels.
The Vamoots CRD is Moots’ integrated road bike: fast, race-oriented, and a bit more aggressive than what most people might expect from the Colorado titanium brand. Moots would normally finish a bike like this with its own titanium stem and cranks, but for this project the team leaned fully into the modern race-bike idea with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset and ENVE one-piece bar-and-stem cockpit.
The titanium frame keeps all the details that make a Moots feel special, including the brand’s own seatpost, colour-matched with the paint and ano-matched with the Chris King Components. Because yes, Moots handles its anodising in-house and offers colours matched to the entire Chris King palette, so the small pieces like the seatpost collar and other hardware can all be tied together perfectly.

Ron doing Ron things at its best! This build started with a pair of Versace red-velvet loafers with gold Medusa heads. From there, the direction was somehow “obvious”: red on red on red, with a bit of gold to make it feel rich, fast, and slightly sleazy in the best possible 1980s way.
This build is mainly here to show off the new Brut Race tires mounted on the also new Comté rims. Because yes, since every Ultradynamico tire carries a French wine name, it only felt right that their first rim would get a French cheese name. So here is the Comté: a carbon-fibre, rim-brake rim released in 2026, which feels almost deliberately out of step with the times, and that’s exactly why we love it. The real question is, when will we see a pair of these on a Rivendell?
Finding so many red parts would have been a challenge, but not for our friend Ron. Garbaruk cranks with a Madrone rear derailleur, running a 40t chainring and 11–46 cassette. Braking comes from Paul Touring Canti brakes at the rear and Neo-Retros at the front for a little more stopping power. Of course we have to mention the Chorus lever internals that have been repurposed to create a single left-side bar-end shifter or the ultra-flexy Ergon seatpost, a titanium Flight red saddle, and a selection of… Yes, red… Tune parts. A very serious bike not taking itself too seriously. Did I mention it was quite red?
