The Wild Experience that is Slow Burnin’ Man

Slow Burnin Man 2023 Japan Mash Parallax

2023 Slow Burnin’ Man is something that you will never EVER find anywhere else. Take a healthy dose of music, bikes, friends and honestly pure madness, and you’ll get close to the magic mix that creates this event.

Perched somewhere on a Japanese mountain, The Slow Burnin’ Man festival made me realize that you could make any sort of event and mix it with bikes for me to be involved, no questions asked.

Multiple music stages were installed as well as art spaces, food trucks and best of all, a full tracklocross course with some seriously gnarly bits.

Of course, the fact that this year’s SBM (Slow Burnin’ Man) acted as a pre-event of the CMWC of Yokohama, played a massive role in the bike crowd being so present this year. And for that we need to say a massive thank you to all the couriers of Messcrib Tokyo and some other Slow Squad members who ground until the very last minute to make this event possible and this well organized.

But enough reading. Here is a compilation of some of the shots I got during these intense three days. Including a roll of black and white I used by being completely half asleep and loading some HP5 in my Nikon F100 while thinking it was color film….

See you in Mexico
