Doing the Unbound 200 on Beach Cruisers

I wrote about it in a previous post, but here is finally the video of the Rodeo Lab team, racing the entire unbound 200 on Walmart Beach Cruisers. Now you have no excuse for not doing it….

Get your Parallax Slammed!

Here is a very cool project by Jan, a member of the Slow Spin Society Community, that I’d like to introduce to more readers. Supporting small projects like this one is also what this platform is all about, so don’t hesitate to reach out through the contact page!

Slammed.

If you're after a sophisticated slam, you've come to the right place.

This project emerged purely from my passion to create beautiful bikes - by whatever means necessary. The headset setup on the Parallax frames is unique because the top bearing protrudes from the head tube quite significantly. It’s due to this that dust covers like the Slamthatstem kit unfortunately won't function properly on this frame, so I had to make my own.

Here’s what you need to know:

The dust cover is designed to replace the stock Columbus cover that came with the Parallax frames and utilizes the stock compression ring. My cover lowers the stack height by 10mm and weighs 13 grams less than the stock one - if you're into such statistics. Depending on the frame's tolerances, you may need to use the stock shim as well - for me, it fit perfectly without. This is a small production run, so I can only offer the cover in a black anodized finish. If you prefer the raw aluminum part, we can make that happen, but the price will remain the same - sorry! Please note that raw aluminum will oxidize over time; it's not the same as commercial silver finishes.

Each cover will cost 24€. That includes the machining, anodizing, and of course packing and shipping. I would like to stock these and ship them out as ordered, but financially, I just can't make that happen. I hope you understand. Imagine this process as a group buy organized by me. Payment is 24€ upfront via PayPal Family and Friends to my personal account jankoenig00@web.de to secure your dust cover. Please include your shipping information in the PayPal notes, that way it all stays in one place and nothing gets lost.

The group buy closes on the 22nd of November 2024!

I will keep you updated on my Instagram: @jankoenig00, but feel free to drop me a DM anytime if you have questions. Please keep in mind that I’m not making any money in this process and don’t want to either.

Thank you for showing interest and making this happen.

Jan
