World’s Lightest Titanium Bike, Wireless Dropper Post, and Sustainability

The Lightest Ti frame is sub 1kg

Lightspeed is claiming their Coll dels Reis is the “world’s lightest production titanium road frame”, and here is why: This fram in medium size comes at just under a kilograme, and exactly 948g. The Coll dels Reis does have an 85 kg/187 lb rider weight limit, so that’s something to think about, along with the $6499 for the frameset. More info here ➡️ lightspeed.com

Convert your Dropper Post to be Wireless

OnlyMotion wants to create a new solution with their Kickstarter, to convert your actual seatpost to an electronically wireless one with a simple command and actuator. With the actuator sitting directly under your seatpost and within your seat tube, you’ll be able to avoid the bulky battery system hanging off the top of your dropster post, commonly available with the AXS system. Battery for the remote and actuator is claimed for a 150h or up 4000 actuations, and can easily be recharged by USB-C.

Let’s not forget sustainability

Like the outer shell cleverly reminded us in their latest newsletter, sustainability is something that is at the heart of many actors in the cycling industry. Even Slow Spin Society, as a media, has its part of responsibility. (Guess why we haven’t made mercha yet…). So it’s important to remember that companies like Outer Shell pride themselves on being able to repair your gear when it’s possible.
