Cinelli and The Banned Aero Bars, SRAM Eagle Drivetrain, and Ultradynamico BRUT
Cinelli Spinaci: The Banned Aero Bars
The Cinelli’s Spinaci were short aero-bar extensions introduced in the mid-1990s, offering riders a more aerodynamic position on standard road bikes. Hugely popular, they sold in large numbers and were used in races despite safety concerns. Their forward weight shift and reduced control made them risky in pelotons, leading the UCI to ban them in 1997. Despite this, they remain an iconic symbol of experimental, innovation, and a touch of rebellion. Learn more about the impact Cinelli Spinaci had on the cycling culture here ➡️ cinelli-milano.com
SRAM Eagle Drivetrain
SRAM has simplified its Eagle drivetrain lineup by replacing nine legacy groups with three new S-Series tiers: S100, S200, and S500. The range keeps 12-speed 1× systems and broad compatibility with older Eagle parts while streamlining choices. S500 adds wireless AXS shifting, S200 targets mid-range mechanical use, and S100 focuses on durability and value, introducing a new UDH Half Mount for added impact protection.
