Surly’s Revived Steamroller, New Vittoria Gravel tires, and Teppei Interview

Surly Steamroller in Limited Anxious Lavender

Surly brings back the Steamroller in a limited Anxious Lavender frameset, reviving one of its earliest models after a 23-year run as a fixie-craze staple and messenger favorite. The street-proof steel frame keeps its signature 700c x 38mm tire clearance, now with added cable stops for cleaner rear brake routing. Once they sell out, they're gone for good.

Vittoria expands its endurance gravel line with 50mm and 55mm widths across the T10, T50, and T70 models. New brown sidewall options round out the range. No price increase, each tire retails at $82.

Fixed Gear, Free Life - Teppei Iwabuchi

Video by: Vast

Vast sits down and interviews Teppei Iwabuchi, a Tokyo fix gear rider. The same fixed gear he uses for food delivery doubles as his trick bike, a thread running back through his roots in skateboarding, BMX, and drawing. The bilingual conversation covers FGFS history, the city's shop scene from WS to Path Backyard, and his honest take on why a hard-to-ride bike is part of the appeal.
