UCI’s new price caps on track cycling gear
Interesting news in the Pro field this Monday, starting January 1, 2027, UCI will enforce price caps on track cycling gear (framesets, forks, wheels, helmets, handlebars, skinsuits) to reduce costs and level the playing field between wealthy and smaller federations. While meant to curb arms-race spending, critics worry it may stifle innovation and R&D in cycling tech, but we’ve heard that before….
