Firsthand Framebuilding, OMM Atlas, and “All Mixed Up”

Firsthand Framebuilding 2026 courses

Firsthand Framebuilding has announced its 2026 courses for learning bicycle fabrication, picking up where the United Bicycle Institute left off. The program offers long (5–10 day) and short (2–3 day) classes covering TIG welding, brazing, machining, design, and more, all with a low student–teacher ratio. Pricing varies by course and material. The school aims to support builders of all skill levels.

New OMM Atlas and Cargo Straps

Old Man Mountain has released a 12 L Atlas Aero Rack Bag, a larger, waterproof rack-top pack for bikepacking. It mounts on a rear rack with four straps, keeps weight low, and frees up dropper-post clearance. New features include an air purge valve for compression and zippered side pockets for small items. It weighs ~360 g and retails for about $125. Other OMM releases worth noting are their new cargo straps!

ALL MIXED UP | Eddie Reynolds

Not every day that I post MTB stuff. But this is worth watching. "’All mixed up’. Exactly how it sounds. Jimmy Astleford and I started filming clips in 2023 with no particular goal in mind. After a couple street missions here and there we figured we could probably make something sick. I wanted to make a mostly street vid, but not just a street part on a mountain bike. I wanted to find spots that I wouldn't touch on a BMX bike. After a while we had just started stacking so many random clips and a lot of not street clips, and that's how "All Mixed Up" came about. A couple years, and quite a few weekend meetups later, we ended up with something we were stoked with. Enjoy.
