Shownotes

Good morning ballers,

In this episode, we decided to tackle the hard question of expensive, even maybe overpriced bike parts. We each compiled a list of around 10 fixed-gear/cycling components that we may have different opinions about when it comes to the big question of if they are worth it or not. Does the quality always justifies the cost, or is it just a bunch of clever communication? Here is a list of parts we tackled:

  • Expensive bibs and jerseys

  • Carbon rims

  • Ultra pricey LIGHTWEIGHT RUNDKURS and its big brother, the Autobahn VR

  • Affordable but terrible Mavic Ellipses

  • Premium Royce bottom bracket and hubs

  • 2000 euros LOOK SRM EXAKT pedals

  • Now kinda rare Omnium cranks

  • MashSF frames

  • Cannondale Track and other rares frames like the Brooklyn Machine Works Gangsta V1

  • Titanium bikes like the N22 Littlewing

  • Expensive CNC parts like: brake levers, seat posts, stems, seatpost clamps, hubs, etc.

  • AARN Rings - We had an episode with Aaron, you can find it here

  • and the Izumi Super Toughness KAI chain.
