The Slow Spin Society Podcast Ep.6 - NJS, Keirin and rising sun heritage

Hey Track Stars!

Today we tackled a rather large and dense topic, but one which was selected by most of our Patreon supporters! As some of you may already know, betting on keirin races is a multi-billion euro industry in Japan today. Although it finds its roots in 1948, parts of the culture surrounding keirin racing has also taken hold in the contemporary fixed gear scene. This can most strongly be seen in the hype around NJS stamped gear (such as DA hubs and Sugino 75s) and the highly sought after NJS frames.  We discuss this and more in this week's episode, so make sure to check it out!
