Bike Check: Crispyn’s Master Hightek
Known as @700ccrispy, you might find it interesting that I decided not to feature his 700c bike. But who in their right mind could resist a tasteful 26” build, especially when it’s a Master Hightek in the perfect Miguel Zendejas signature blue?
And yes, I know it took me almost a year to release this bike check, and maybe I should have just handed the pictures over to SMC so they could do it for me. Still, I like to feature a nice FGFS build from time to time here.
So, getting straight into the nitty-gritty: this Master Hightek V3 is equipped with a pair of Cult Crew cranks, a Fixated bash guard, a brand-new Shadow Conspiracy chain (after his previous one snapped), and Demolition pedals with pep straps. If all of this sounds terribly complex, don’t worry, it was for me too. Even though I ride BMX from time to time, a 26” FGFS is basically the cycling equivalent of a limited-batch hot sauce: niche, intense, and for those in the know…
Since this is a Fixed Gear Freestyle build, it obviously comes with the mandatory tennis balls sandwiched between the spokes.
The wheelset is built on Bombtrack rims, with an M64 rear hub, equipped with a 10t sprocket, and an Odyssey front hub.
Fun fact about the front wheel: Crispy has used it on all his bikes since the very beginning, and we collectively believe it’s immortal now, because apparently he’s never trued it, not even once.
Don’t forget the Primo Adam 22 signature pegs. Because it seems like every other freestyle part is someone’s signature, and I’m not going to lie… I kind of love that.

And if you’re thinking about getting into this particular hobby, where I can guarantee your knees will regret it, SMC is a great place to start.
A cool bike and a few tattoos later, you might also earn yourself an immortal front wheel. And that’s baller.
What’s your bike for next summer?
