Bike Check: Teru‘s Custom Cannondale Track

What’s your favorite Ctrack color? Glacier Blue? Icelandic green? What about “Right-in-your-face Pink”?
Last year I stumbled upon the brightest Ctrack of them all, so today we're taking a look at Teru’s custom-painted street machine and the theory that Cannondale tracks look good in almost any color.

I actually know that bike from a single Instagram post, way back in the day. The bike was imported in Japan by a foreigner, with a dented seat tube, making it unusable since you couldn’t put any seatpost in it. He took it to Gan Well where they “undented it” with some NJS witchcraft that we’re still not sure about today. At this point, the frame was repainted in this almost neon-pink color to then disappear for years.

During CMWC Yokoyama, I saw Teru with this thing and knew I had to take a few shots to share on SSS. So here are a few details you don’t want to miss: The black anodized Wound Up fork just under this pink Chris King headset—the thrifted 3$ Kore bars warped in cotton bar tape, and this well-used rear Vittoria Randoneur.

The Ctrack is a bike that we’ve seen so much over social media, that I find it difficult to find an exciting build nowadays. The trend has been so high for so many years (As I explained in this post —> “What’s the deal with the Cannondale Track” ) that if it’s not bright neon pink, I’m likely to only glance over it.
But this! This made the Ctrack fan inside of me burn again. It’s a “throw it together” build but with some very cool stuff like this pair of Wolber “Chrome Magnesium, Hard Anodized finish” rims with OG Silver Philwoods Hubs.

Iconic and unique at the same time, how can you not love it? The bright pink can’t be for everyone, and I’m sure some purists will be pissed to see that kind of bike repainted. But look at it… It looks dope.

I’ve heard there is a gold anodized Ctrack out there somewhere 👀
