Track Bike Union 2024 on Expired B&W

After a five-year break, Track Bike Union (TBU) was back—and I was all in for it! If you haven't heard of TBU, let me give you a quick intro to what might just be the most laid-back velodrome event you'll ever experience.

Held at a Keirin training velodrome in the mountains of Yamanashi, TBU is a full day of laid-back races with friends. From 1v1 sprints to huge points races, riders are out there to participate in as many races as possible, and eventually claim first place of the overall event. But racing isn’t your only option—there’s food, drinks, and plenty of stands to cheer from, plus an excellent variety of napping spots (trust me, I tried most of them).

Now that you’re in the loop, I put together a small gallery I shot at Track Bike Union vol.5 on some expired black-and-white film I had lying around.

As always, a huge thanks to Nickolas from 25las in Tokyo for taking the time to organize this event open to everyone.

Fingers crossed, see you next year!
