After nearly 17 years building bikes, founders Will and James still look outside the cycling world for inspiration, pulling ideas from their own lives. Slug Bicycles just rolled out their first steel bike, the CrMo Earthling Gravel Bike, bringing the popular titanium Earthling down to a friendlier price. The Taiwan-made chromoly frameset runs $1,850, or $3,500 built with Shimano GRX RX820 and DT Swiss G 1800 wheels, and clears 700x55mm tires on their in-house Frequency Adventure Fork. Built for hardpack, singletrack, and the road between them.
