October’s Newsletter

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this October recap, where we’re looking at everything that you might have missed on slowspinsociety.com ! This year's Spooky-month has to be one of the most productive we've ever done.

Three podcast episodes, one Patreon special video, two articles, A YouTube start and one new show .... That's a lot of content.

Let's start with the main SSS podcast and the three new episodes that released this month. (A Monday on the last day of the month….lucky you!) First was episode 66 where we fought against each other to know what was the dumbest UCI rule of all time. From strict socks length to banned wheels, we went over a bunch of roady nonsense as a little gully pleasure.

Episode 67 was a hypothetical challenge that we set to ourselves. One year in a new city with only one bike to ride and one strict rule: That's the only bike you'll be able to ride for the next year, period!
Hard choices had to be made, but we’ll just remember that, Rob’s new EP is coming out this summer.

And finally, our guest episode of October was with non-other than @notchas a.k.a. Chas himself. Eminent personality of our culture, we went over his messenger history, the collab between Mash and Cinelli, and a few other cool details that you definitely want to check out

This month Patreon special might be the most hilarious thing we've ever produced. If you're still wondering if you should subscribe or not, you certainly don't wanna miss the one-hour video of us and @fxd.kirby, going ham on some of the weirdest bike we found online.

And as usual, our top tier Patrons, continues to receive exclusive stickers and print every month.

News on Slowspinsociety.com

As for the blog, we’re first checking up Melo’s bike-check this month. A build as I like them, with a lot of details and history. NJS bikes definitely have a special place in my heart, and a good Makino is always something I like to talk about. Second, this month is a very special blog-post. With Japan finally opening up to tourist this month, I decided to share my “favorite chill Tokyo day” with all of you. Hope you’ll enjoy that awesome city as much as I did!

One more thing! Well, two actually…

Like I told you earlier, this month has been busy! And we’re happy to always bring more things to the table!
First is a new show: Deep Dish Discussions! All bout the nerdy and racing side of track cycling, DDD is not a regular podcast but rater an even focused show. With David as a co-host we started with Filippo Ganna’s hour record, and all the crazy tech that went into this attempt!

More we progress towards 2023, more I see SSS blooming. Slowly taking the form of a big and loving community, around a multimedia platform. I like where this is going, and I hope you do too. See you next month!

3rensho riding along a coast, do I need to say more?
