Bike Check: Michelle’s Look Madison 875

Team LOOK Crit 875 Madison RS Corima track Wheel

Alright, let's get started! A huge light leak... Check. At the worst possible place...Also check… Michelle, I'm so sorry, film can sometimes be finicky… Weird visual artifacts aside, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the fastest fixed gear crit racers of our generation while in Yokohama last year: Michelle Degraaf. We managed to squeeze in a quick bike check between the end of her race and the podium, but apparently I'm not used to working under pressure, or I was exhausted… Seriously, I'm still trying to figure out how I messed up my film like that.

Let’s delve a bit into Michelle’s criterium setup. First, we begin with the striking Look 875 Madison RS in the exclusive Team Look Crit edition. This frameset, a true masterpiece engineered for racing, and setting riders up for success.

Moving on to the wheels! A limited team editions, these Corima WS1 track are not only rare sights on and off the racecourse but also add an extra bit of spice to an already pretty hot setup.

This time, Michelle was running a "very light" gear ratio of 50x16. ( Her saying, not mine) Needless to say that everyone running a gear ratio over three on such a tight course earns my immediate respect.

Steam, handlebar, and seatpost are from Deda with these aero spacers creating a perfect joint frame and cockpit.

Getting data is key to improvement, so Michelle and the entire Team Look Crit are sponsored by SRM to extract as much information as possible with this power meter crank.

In my opinion, the Team Look Crit appears to be incredibly well-organized, bringing together dedicated athletes and esteemed sponsors who are wholly committed to supporting individuals towards racing excellence. This whole 875 Madison RS setup is the ideal tool to leave us all in awe as Michelle blasts around the track faster than I could ever myself.
