Centurio Primus

Build 27/30
Material and Manufacturing quality 8/10
Paint and Finish 9/10
Weight 10/10
Very light frame set with a frame weighting around 1.3 kg and full carbon fork at just 300g, the Centurio Primus was designed for proper velodrome training and criterium racing. Smooth welds all over with a front gusset similar to a Cervelo T1, but we'll discuss that later. Painted in France, the final result has a lot of depth and an intriguing graphic, definitely an appealing bike.
Ride 17/30
Geometry and sizing 7/10
Versatility 4/10
Handling and comfort 6/10
Everything from the tubing selection, dropped seat stays, down to the geometry, are all heavy reminders of the Cervelo T1. It felt light, rigid and truly fast to ride, but not nimble enough for city riding. It truly had the characteristics of a training bike. With no bottle mounts and tire clearance limited to 25c, don’t expect something that you’ll be able to casually ride every day. Front fork is drillable, but rear bridge is going to be at your own risk. (I wouldn’t do it)

Used Market 0/10
Priced at $1055, at its release, the Primus was definitely on the expensive side of the spectrum for a Taiwan made aluminum track frame. I don’t know what happened to Centurio, but their website is close, their last Instagram post is from 2019, and I have yet to see one on the used market.
SSS Factor 5/10
Good frame, super light, brilliant finish, but definitely not for a street use. Could be a perfect bike for velodrome use though. Sold mine, no regrets.
