No. 22 Little Wing
I’ll be really brief here since everything you should know is in my final review of the Little Wing right here ⬇️
Build 29/30
Material and Manufacturing quality 10/10
Paint and Finish 10/10
Weight 9/10
Absolutely exquisite craftsmanship, the whole team at No. 22 is walking that fine line between cutting-edge cycling engineering and beautiful artistry. Everything, from the tube shaping to the anodizing and ceramic coating, is flawless. At 1.7 kg, this bike is average for a track bike, but it somehow feels even lighter on the road, likely thanks to the construction and geometry. My only critique is the carbon fork; it could’ve been full carbon, as it still uses an aluminum steerer tube. But honestly, that’s a small thing in the grand scheme of how amazing this bike is.
Ride 27/30
Geometry and sizing 9/10
Versatility 8/10
Handling and comfort 10/10
With a geometry that strikes a perfect balance between a track and road bike, the Little Wing is built more for long rides and night bombing than for navigating dense urban areas. Sure, it can handle both, but it truly shines over longer distances, especially thanks to the comfort of titanium. Custom sizing is available, though personally, I might’ve preferred a fork with a slightly shorter rake or maybe half a degree more in the head angle, but that’s just me nitpicking. One thing to note: you won’t fit anything larger than 28c tires in the fork, so don’t plan on taking this one on long gravel adventures.
Value 20/30
Price 7/10
Availability 8/10
Used Market 5/10
Probably one of the most expensive non-pro track frames you can get right now, the Little Wing starts at $4299, and that’s just for the raw frame set. Adding Cerakote and anodizing pushes the price up even more, as it adds significant time to the manufacturing process. As of now, their lead time is 10 weeks, which is pretty quick when you’re talking about custom frames. Finding one on the used market is pretty rare, as people tend to hold onto these bikes, but I’ve spotted a few here and there.
SSS Factor 10/10
I ended up liking it so much that I bought, after the review. By far the fast track bike I’ve ever ridden. Truly a forever bike.
