January’s Recap!
Hello everyone! Let me first say that I hope everyone had a nice start to 2025. I feel that it’s sometimes hard to stay positive with everything happening right now around the globe, but hopefully SSS can bring you some downtime on this hectic space rock. There isn’t much to cover in this newsletter, so I’d like to talk a bit about how I’m seeing things for the next few months.
I’m working on a new section of the website that will include things that are somehow related to me and SSS, but don’t really fit in the release schedule. Loads of exiting this in there… You should see more of it in March.
Talking about my schedule, I’ve honestly been swamped with work like crazy lately, and it’s definitely taken a toll on me. I’m taking a break from the podcast because I just can’t manage everything on my own right now. More on that below.
I’ve been enjoying the diversification of articles and write-ups, from gravel bikes to camera reviews, over the past year, and I’m planning to keep that going. It’s great to hear that some of you have liked it as well, which makes it even better.
Overall, I’m in this weird middle state where the media is big enough to take 100% of my time, but yet still missing funds to create some truly cool projects. Obviously, I’ve been trying and working towards ways to finance SSS, and I feel like we’re almost here.
I have also stopped the Patreon to move toward Buy Me a Coffee. I have made an article/open letter to explain all about it, as well as some podcast update. ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
Finally, I really appreciate all the great things people have to say on SSS. The media grew a lot last year, and by attracting more people, they inevitably come with their lot of detractors and critics. But I know that it’s the people that matters that enjoy my work, so again, thanks for that.
Some Stuff to Read
January has been busy, starting with my long term review of the No. 22 Little Wing, A long article that I’d like to eventually recreate as a video format in the near future.
Next up is an experiment that I did on my personal Instagram account @_paul_u during most of 2024. As someone that already spends too much time on social media, I wanted to free myself of daily posting, and for that I thought that the use of AI to post instead of me, could be an interesting test.
Then we have a bike check on Taka’s Master Hightek! A bit of FGFS has never hurt anybody right?
Another review this month with the Aframe Titanium riser bar that I installed on the Little Wing for a few months.
Finally, we’re wrapping up January with a collection of cool bikes I spotted around Bike Lore.
Of course, all blog posts are up and live for you to enjoy wherever you are, doing 1V1 combat, or writing corporate emails.
