February’s Recap!

Hello everyone! As the weather gets colder and colder, and we spend more and more time indoors, I hope you’re all taking the opportunity to plan your next trip, project, or bike adventure. I know I am! There’s always so much to do here at SSS, and with the 2025 projects gaining momentum, I’m excited for what the next few months will bring.

Next month, you’ll be able to catch me in Berlin for RadRace in mid-March and then in Hong Kong until the beginning of April. I always love meeting new faces, so feel free to send me a DM on Instagram @slowspinsociety. Looking forward to connecting with all of you!

February kicked off with the release of three films I helped shoot in Tokyo and Hong Kong last year: The Root to Tokyo, The Panted Seed, and The Spark. You can check them out on YouTube or right here ➡️ Behind the Scenes of The Seed, The Root, and The Spark.

Next up, I want to briefly touch on something I mentioned last month. It's thanks to supporters like you that Slow Spin Society can continue as an independent cycling media outlet. If you enjoy the articles and photos I share, please consider supporting SSS financially on Buy Me a Coffee. It truly makes a difference! ➡️ A Better Way to Enable the Stories You Love

The first bike check of the month features one of my current favorite builds! Jaming’s Peloton is a versatile machine that’s ready for anything, andthere's no reason you shouldn’t build one for yourself! ➡️ Bike Check: Jaming’s Peloton 🛠️

If you find yourself in Brooklyn, be sure to stop by Tuned. This fantastic bike shop has everything you need, from premium bike parts to incredible service, not to mention great coffee! ➡️ Tuned NYC: The Craft and The Culture 🗽

Next up is Mathie’s Skream, the bike he rode during the filming of the previously mentioned movies. ➡️ Bike Check: Mathias Skream Magnum 🐈‍⬛

One of my favorite write-ups this month features Kaito, a friend and a future pillar of the NJS frame-building culture. I captured some nice moody shots to accompany a simple yet meaningful interview. ➡️ Sharp Frames, Sharper Looks. The Future of Stratos 🔥

Finally, we wrap up the month with a bike check of Cole’s Weis Hammer Gravel SL. This show bike, built for the Enve Builder Round Up back in 2021, is still shredding whenever necessary. ➡️ Bike Check: Cole’s Weis Hammer Gravel SL ⛰️

Of course, all blog posts are up and live for you to enjoy wherever you are, on an epic quest, or counting your gold coins.
