March’s Recap!

Spring is rolling back in! And while it might still be a bit early to ditch the coats and hoodies in the Northern Hemisphere, the sun finally making a comeback feels like a call for more rides and more time outside. Any plans to conquer new ground on your bike this season? I know I do!

This April, I’ll mainly be in the south of France and Spain, but I’ll also make a short stay in Paris from the 10th to the 13th for Love Letter Turbo 2. One of my favorite event for the year, so if you haven’t thought about booking a place to stay in Paris for this fun weekend, it might be time to do so. You can find more info on loveletterturbo.cc .
Or on our Discord server right here ➡️ discord.com/slowspinsociety

March actually kicked off on another platform! After my trip to Japan with the Weis MFG team, I wrote an article for The Radavist featuring an interview with Logan and Cole, where we discussed their impressions of the Japanese cycling landscape.

Next up is a bike check! But not just any bike check. This one’s special because it’s the first mountain bike featured on Slow Spin Society. And what a way to start things off, with a 26” titanium Litespeed!

After some times thinking about how to introduce new thng on the SSS website without creating more mess, I came up with a solution: Side Notes!
”Still valuable information, just in a format that doesn’t fit with the rest.”

My personal highlight of the month! Flow Lab is a brand in its early days, but it’s already making waves with the soon-to-be-released Sunny! A 650b track bike infused with the soul of NJS and Keirin frames through and through!

For the bike nerds like me, I’ve got you covered this month with a bike check of one of my all-time favorite track bikes: the Corima Contreau! This one comes from my first trip to Hong Kong, and you can read all about it here:

Finally: After a few DMs and a some work to put everything together, I’m super happy to post the first community gallery on SSS. It’s 100% analog, and I’d love to do it again!
➡️ Film Dump: The Annual Berlin Rendez-Vous 🎞️

Of course, all blog posts are up and live for you to enjoy wherever you are, at home doing your spring-cleaning, or enjoying the first trails of the season.

One More Thing!

One More Thing!

Just one more thing! If you’re reading this newsletter, you’re probably in the top 1% of readers out here. And it’s people like you, truly engaged and passionate, that I need right now.
Slow Spin Society is a full-time job for me, but I know there is probably a more efficient way to do things. If you’ve ever thought about posting photos or writing articles, this might be your chance to share your work on an already strong platform.
We can work out the details in private, so just send me a DM or reach out through the contact page.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
