Hello everyone!
It’s official, summer is here, and the 40 degrees here in Tokyo are confirming that without too much hassle. It’s again been a wild month for us. With regular episodes and articles, but also a lot of work behind the scenes. This being said, summer break is definitely not this year for us, but that’s more future content for you, and new ways to listen/watch/read our adventures.
Two very interesting episodes this month! First with the Fixed Pirates, where we recorded with a total of seven riders… with only two mics…
It was a good challenge, but we still had an amazing time talking about this entity of the British Fixed scene.
Second episode this month was an experiment in which we went around the ”Loop”. Since Fixed-gear is also a trend, we took a look at the patterns repeating themselves and other oddities of the culture in this spiritual trip. Do you think your brain can follow us?
It’s always exciting to cook the special Patreon episode. This month is a quick podcast with Patrick a.k.a “Patrick Fixie King” about his newly opened corner: Track Lab
And as usual, our top-tier Patrons received their monthly surprise envelope, with some Japanese stickers this time. Hope you guys like it.

I don’t know if it’s the Japanese scenery, the change of film stock or something else, but there is something special about some pictures I took recently. This month on SSS.com you’ll find a rather interesting write-up about my experience in Japan, how I see things as a fixed-gear rider, and a few tips and tricks if you happen to travel to the country of the rising sun.
Next this month is a bike-check of Tommy’s Pista Concept. Just a cool bike, cool shots, and a few interesting anecdotes about how that frame was designed. (Personal note: I’m still looking for one for myself…)
Hope you guys have enjoyed everything we uploaded this month and we look forward for the good rides and plenty of fun to recharge the batteries during this summer. We’d love to see where everyone took their track bike this summer, so don’t hesitate to show us some pictures of your adventures!
If you’re following other podcasts you might know that most of them are taking a break during July and August, but not for us! You can count on some SSS content during the hot days.
And that’s pretty much it for this month! I’m gonna go back to enjoy my 40 degrees in 95% humidity…. wish me luck…
