BMC Impec Prototype by Anthony

Description: The Impec Lab was an initiative started by BMC in 2010 to produce completely in-house, Swiss made frames. However, due to the complexity of the carbon weave, the manufacturing cost of a single frame was 10 time that of an Asian counterpart. Production stopped in 2015 due to the mounting financial pressure and the advent of the Teammachine SLR01. However, the European Track Championships were slated to be held across the street from BMC's headquarters in Grenchen, Switzerland, and in late 2015 a few engineers found some unused Impec tubes and put together 6 prototype track bikes. This is one of them.

It utilizes carbon lugs with load-specific weave carbon tubes to absorb and distribute riding forces perfectly. Forged aluminum dropouts are plated and resist scratching.
