October’s Recap!
Tell me…Did you do it? Did you cave and order your first (and maybe only) pumpkin spice latte of the year? I’ll admit it, I’m guilty… I allow myself exactly one every Fall. But here’s the good news: the good stuff on Slow Spin Society isn’t seasonal. The content runs all year long, no limited edition, no shame, no latte tax. Convenient, right? October was packed with events and releases, and November isn’t slowing down either. You’ll probably catch me around Germany again, with a few things in the works: some updates on the Monopole I’ve been riding, a bike check I shot in Shanghai, and finally a batch of photos from Bespoked Dresden.
Stay tuned—there’s more coming than just colder weather.

So without further ado, let’s get into what happened on SSS this past month!
Here is a bike check of a Raleigh USA’s National Team track frame, by Romario gives who gave it a city twist! This thing is equipped with Spinergy wheels, and other fancy bits that I’m sure you’d love to know more about. Once a velodrome machine, it now belongs to the streets!

The Zag E‑Cargo is a compact cargo bike built in France that blends durability, adaptability and playful design. A good steel frame made by Milc, modular motor mounts compatible with various e-drive systems, a one-size geometry for riders, and a front rack rated for 80 kg. A bike that is worth taking a look at!

On October 9, we celebrated Messenger Appreciation Day! Giving back to bicycle messengers and couriers who brave traffic, weather and deadlines to move everything from meals to vital documents. Now you’ll know for next year!

I decided to shoot a roll of expired FPP RetroChrome 400 slide film, at TXWC in Barcelona and… Well, as expected it totally went wrong as I developed it in C41 instead of the proper E9 process. Learn about what exactly not to do, in this article.

If you weren’t there during the Weis Galaxy Tour weekend in Paris this summer, you’re in luck! We decided (a bit last minute) to record the meetup between Romain and Fin from Stolen Garage, as well as Cole, Logan, and Tom from Weis MFG!

So decided to give a try to his friend’s Titanium Omnium’s CXC, originally a fixed-gear, then turned into a gravel bike! With steep geometry, clearance for 50 mm tires, and compatibility with so many build types, this bike blends track-bike spirit with off-road vibes!

This is Bennet’s custom Tracklocross build! Blending vintage-inspired segmented fork design and wishbone seat-stays, built for races but also long trips. This thing has a bunch of details you’d probably like to take a look at.

Of course, all blog posts are up and live for you to enjoy wherever you are, preparing your winter holidays, or staying in bed because damn it’s cold outside.
